T-Minus 9 Days!

In a little over a week, I will escape the winter doldrums of NYC for a two week vacation in Australia!  This will be my first big international trip in several years, and I'm thrilled.  A good friend of mine who goes on a yearly road trip smartly suggested that I memorialize my trip with a travel blog.

I'm still in the planning stages, but I'm beginning to pack.  It's hard to gauge how much clothes to bring -- it's summertime in Australia, so I'll certainly need t-shirts, sunblock, and beachwear.  But I'm making a pit-stop in San Francisco for work, so I'll also need to bring a suit and good shoes.  (Perhaps the suit can double as evening attire if I go to the infamous Sydney Opera House for a performance...)

Kitty is staying in NYC.  Her vet also provides a boarding service, so I know she'll be well taken care of during my trip.  I don't normally ascribe human emotions to animals, but I suspect she knows something's up.
